CARPE DASH

1969

-

Hi there and welcome. We are Todd and Tamara, the founders of Dash Life. Let us tell you a little about who we are and how Dash Life come to be.

Life is finite. And the awareness of that space between the beginning and the end—the Dash—becomes incredibly powerful. We don't just exist within it. We get to create within it. And so we are.

Our Dash began in 1969, and at the age of 56, we made a conscious decision to live a life of no holdbacks and no regrets. To step into a new chapter that will, one day, make one heck of a story!

Dash Life was born from a simple idea:

Life is happening now.

Not someday.
Not when the timing is perfect.
Not when we feel ready.

Now.

Our intention was to create something that reaches beyond us—a way of seeing, a way of living, and a daily reminder that the choices we make today become the story of our lives.

We are average, everyday, ordinary people- amateur athletes living a simple but extraordinary life- on purpose.  We challenge ourselves. We create. We grow. We evolve. And will continue to do so until our dash runs out. We don’t have all the answers, but we simply believe there is always more life to be lived. Extraordinary lives are built by ordinary people making intentional choices.

If our journey inspires you to take one more chance, have one hard conversation, pursue one meaningful goal, or step toward the life you truly want, then Dash Life has done exactly what it was created to do.

Your Story.
Your Way.
Your Dash.

Make It Count.

TAMARA 1969

-

As a former oncology and palliative care nurse, I sat beside people at the end of their lives.

I listened to what mattered.
I witnessed courage.
I witnessed regret.

And in my own life, I have experienced profound loss. All of these experiences changed something in me. They gave me a different lens through which to see not only death, but more importantly, life—and the opportunities and possibilities that exist within it. That perspective has given me clarity.

Clarity about what matters.
Clarity about what doesn't.
And clarity about the weight of the choices we never make.

We get to show up in our own lives.
We get to choose.
We get to create a story we are proud to call our own.

Dash Life is my way of sharing that message.

A reminder to live with no holdbacks and no regrets.

To live fully.
To embrace the possibilities. And new beginnings.

To Carpe the heck out of our Dash.

TODD 1969

For much of my life, I lived as many people do—moving through daily routines that felt more mechanical than intentional. It was a life shaped by "shoulds" : go to work, pay the bills, take the next step, and keep moving forward. Much of my satisfaction came from meeting external expectations rather than following an internal vision.

Today, at 56, my awareness of "The Dash" has changed everything.

It has turned my focus inward. It has reawakened my confidence, sharpened my clarity of thought, and given me permission to be fully myself. More importantly, it has inspired me to live now—not someday. To live My Life, My Way. To make every day count.

The Dash Life is more than a concept; it is a new way of seeing. It is an invitation to discover what already exists within you. An invitation to ask, "What if?" To imagine a life lived with purpose, intention, and authenticity.

It is working for me. It has become the lens through which I now view my life.

Could it become yours?
I hope so.
It starts here.

NADIA'S STORY

When war broke out in Ukraine, Nadia was forced to leave behind the life she had built. An accomplished healthcare professional with three medical degrees, she arrived in Canada with her children, unable to speak the language and faced having to start over. But she made one courageous choice at a time.

She kept learning. She kept working. She kept believing. She kept moving forward.

The life she wanted to create for herself and her children mattered more than the fear of beginning again. Today, Nadia is once again doing what she loves—helping people heal. When asked what the Dash Life Coin means to her, this is what she said:

"Since receiving my Dash Life Coin, my life has completely changed.

Today, I live each day with gratitude, love, and appreciation for the world and the people around me. I no longer see difficulties as obstacles. I see them as opportunities to become stronger, wiser, and grow. The coin reminds me that I always have a choice. I can pause. I can breathe. I can choose my response instead of reacting to what life places in front of me. I carry it with me every day because it brings me back to what matters. It reminds me to live intentionally, to be present, and to appreciate this one life I have. This coin changes lives—absolutely and undeniably. Thank you for creating this for us."

What Nadia reminds us: No matter what life takes from us, it can never take away our ability to choose who we become. Your Story. Your Way. Your Dash.

Make it Count.
